Olsztyn położony jest w północno-wschodniej części Polski. Jest stolicą województwa warmińsko-mazurskiego, sam zaś leży w południowej części Warmii. Miasto o powierzchni ok. 89 km² liczy sobie niecałe 200 000 mieszkańców. To już ósmy rok z rzędu odbył się tu grudniowy jarmark, znany pod nazwą Warmiński Jarmark Świąteczny. Olsztyn is located in the north-eastern Poland. It's the capital of Warmia and Mazury, while he lies in the southern part of Warmia. City of approx. 89 km² counts less than 200 000 inhabitants. This is the 8th year when was held here the christmas fair, known as Warmia's Christmas Market. Enjoy the photo report of the event.

Jarmark odbył się na olsztyńskiej starówce i trwał 4 dni. Główne wejście na Stare Miasto prowadzi przez Bramę Górną, częściej nazywaną przez mieszkańców Wysoką Bramą. Jest to najbardziej rozpoznawalny punkt w Olsztynie.

Christmas market was held in the old town of Olsztyn and lasted four days. The main entrance to the Old Town runs through the Upper Gate, often called by the inhabitants the 'High Gate'. It's the most recognizable point in Olsztyn.

Uliczki starówki oświetlały kolorowe lampki i dekoracje w formie ogromnych prezentów, bombek, choinki.

Streets of the old town lit by colored lights and decorations in the form of a huge gift, baubles and of course a christmas tree.

Na straganach oferowane były świąteczne wypieki, słodycze, regionalne kiełbasy i wędliny, chleb, miody, zakopiańskie oscypki, grzane piwo, grzane wino z goździkami i pomarańczą. Oferowano również wyroby rękodzielnicze, ozdoby świąteczne, drobne upominki.

During the market you could try some christmas pastries, regional sausages and cold cuts, bread, honey, oscypki (smoked ewe's milk cheese made in the Tatra Mountains), mulled wine and beer. You could also buy there some handicrafts, christmas decorations, small gifts.
