Juzcar, Smurfs' Village in Spain

Pamiętacie? xD Najlepsza bajka z dzieciństwa. Smerfy! Małe niebieskie stworki żyjące w magicznej wiosce i ich największy wróg Gargamel z kocurem Klakierem, Papa Smerf, Smerfetka, Osiłek, Ważniak i inni. Otóż okazuje się, że smerfna wioska istnieje naprawdę.

But there's danger there, lurking everywhere 'cause Gargamel will catch them if he can! Oooooo I hate Smurfs!"

Do you remember? :) The best childhood fairy tale. Little blue creatures who live in a magical village and try to outwit the evil Gargamel. Well, the Smurfs' Village really exists.

Na południu Hiszpanii w pięknej Andaluzji leży niewielka górska wioska Juzcar. Odwiedziłam ją przy okazji pobytu w Rondzie. O tym białym miasteczku otoczonym wzgórzami i najpiękniejszym moście w Hiszpanii możecie przeczytać tutaj. Miejscowości te są oddalone od siebie zaledwie o 25 km. Juzcar to pierwsza smerfna wioska na świecie!

In the south of Spain in the beautiful Andalusia lies the small mountain village Juzcar. I visited this play during my stay at Ronda. About this white town surrounded by hills and the most beautiful bridge in Spain you can read here. These towns are only 25 km apart. Juzcar is the first Smurfs' Village in the world!

From Ronda, there's a very picturesque and winding road.

Dawniej Juzcar była to zwyczajna biała wioska, w której mieszkańcy wiedli spokojne hiszpańskie życie. Wszystko zmieniło się kiedy latem 2011 roku w miejscowości pojawili się przedstawiciele Sony Pictures. Hollywoodzki producent zaproponował mieszkańcom przekształcenie Juzcaru w Wioskę Smerfów. Miejsce to było dla nich idealne do promowania ich nowego filmu Smerfy. Za zgodą mieszkanców cała wioska została pomalowana na niebiesko, łącznie z kościołem i budynkiem Rady Miasta. Tylko cmentarz pozostał biały.

Formerly Juzcar was an ordinary white village in which the residents lived a peaceful Spanish life. Everything changed when representatives of Sony Pictures appeared in the village in the summer of 2011. A Hollywood producer offered the residents a transformation of Juzcar into the Smurfs' Village. This place was perfect for them to promote their new movie Smurfs. With the consent of the residents, the entire village was painted in blue, including the church and the City Council building. Only the cemetery remained white.

Po zakończonej promocji filmu producent chciał przywrócić miejscowości dawny wygląd, jednak mieszkańcy widząc szansę rozwoju postanowili zostawić niebieski kolor ścian. W ten sposób zwyczajna andaluzyjska wioska szybko zyskała popularność wśród turystów. Dziś ma oficjalny status pierwszej na świecie Wioski Smerfów (hiszp. Pueblo Pitufo). Rocznie odwiedza ją około 70 tys. gości. 

After the promotion of the film, the producer wanted to restore the village former appearance, but the residents, seeing the chance for development, decided to leave the blue color of the walls. In this way, the ordinary Andalusian village quickly gained popularity among tourists. Today it has the official status of the world's first Smurfs' Village (spanish: Pueblo Pitufo). Annually visit  it about 70,000 guests.

W błękitnym miasteczku zaczęły powstawać hotele, restauracje, kawiarnie, sklepy z pamiątkami.  Na ścianach budynków znajdują się rysunki przedstawiające bohaterów z bajki. Zobaczyć ich można także w oknach, czy na balkonach domów. Spacerując wąskimi uliczkami możemy spotkać ogromne figury smerfów.

In the blue town, hotels, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops began to be built. On the walls of buildings there are drawings depicting heroes from a fairy tale. You can also see them in the windows or on the balconies of houses. Walk around the narrow streets we can meet huge figures of smurfs.

Juzcar to przeurocze miasteczko ukryte wśród gór. Jeśli ktoś z was będzie w Rondzie i chciałby zobaczyć coś ciekawego w okolicy to polecam tą wioskę. Szczególnie dla rodzin z dziećmi. Napewno będą miały wielką frajdę.

Juzcar is a charming town hidden among the mountains. If anyone of you will be in Ronda and would like to see something interesting in this area, I recommend this village. Especially for families with children. They'll certainly have a lot of fun.
